Network maintenence tasks

Dear friends,

Just wanted to know if anyone has a checklist for maintaining a network on a periodic basis like tasks to do on a weekly or monthly basis.

The network again is a conventional setup containing switches, routers, firewalls, IDS / IPS.

Even if noone has a checklist, i request for your kind inputs on what can be included in this checklist. Just wanted to approach you first as i might be re-inventing the wheel if i start from scratch!!

No checklist, but it is a good idea to periodically monitor and record bandwidth usage on critical links, either manually on small nets or automatically on larger ones. A history of this is handy when recommending or justifying upgrades... also error counters can be handy but they have to be taken in % of total traffic terms.
