We have 2x WS-C2960X-24TS-L replacement switches connecting to a pair of ASA5525s (outside port channel interface) that are stuck in "waiting to be aggregated" on both sides. The ASA5525s are also connecting to an older 3550 switch using portchannels and those are working without issue:
Group Port-channel Protocol Span-cluster Ports
------+-------------+---------+------------+------------------------------------
1 Po1(U) LACP No Gi0/0(w) Gi0/1(P) ****NEW WS-C2960-24TS-L****
2 Po2(U) LACP No Gi0/2(P) Gi0/3(P) ****OLD 3550 ****
The C2960 side config:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
description *** ASA5525 Primary 0/0/0 ***
switchport mode trunk
channel-protocol lacp
channel-group 1 mode active
!
interface GigabitEthernet2/0/3
description *** ASA5525 Primary 0/0/1 ***
switchport mode trunk
channel-protocol lacp
channel-group 1 mode active
And the ASA side:
interface GigabitEthernet0/0
description ***Outside Interface Switch 1 ***
channel-group 1 mode active
no nameif
no security-level
no ip address
ASA5525# sh run interface Gi0/1
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
description ***Outside Interface Switch 2 ***
channel-group 1 mode active
no nameif
no security-level
no ip address
These ASAs were already connected (port channels working) to a pair of older WS-C2960S-24TS-L. I am at a loss for what the problem could be, or if the newer C2960X require additional configuration for etherchannels.

Hello,
on the 2960X interfaces, you might have to configure 'switchport nonegotiate', I don't recall what the DTP/CDP default settings are, but give that a try...

Hi Georg,
Applying 'switchport nonegotiate' had no effect.

Hello,
can you for the sake of testing configure PAgP (mode desirable) ?
