Nexus 3548 / 24 port license portability

Hello Everyone

Is there a way for us to move licenses from one Nexus 3524 to another to have flexibility? For example, if we have a 3524, and have a 24 port additional license on it to make it a 3548, can we remove it from that switch and move it to another 3524? Primary reason I ask is for sparing strategy. Effectively, is the N3548-24P-UPG= portable between systems.

Hi,

Licensing is based on the UID of each device.  If you want to move it from one to another you would need to revoke it from one device and than register for the other device.

Also, your sales guy may have more info to help you.
