Nexus 5510 vPC spanning-tree type ISSU

I am planning on performing a ISSU upgrade to a pair of 5510 nexus switches.  When I run the show install all impact command, it states an issue with a vPC port-channel and bridge assurance being enabled.  I have the read that best practice for vPC is, the interfaces should be configured with "type normal", but this vPC has type "network".  If change this vPC to "spanning-tree type normal, would this cause an outage?

Hello.

If your 5510s are designated for the interface, I guess it's safe to reconfigure the type (but I would try it in LAB first). If the interface on your 5510s is root port, then this will cause an outage.

PS: I guess peer-switch feature could help you with STP convergence issues.
