Nexus 5548 Config Sync issues

I have an issue with my 2 5548 switches using config sync and switch profiles. I am trying to set some port configurations like storm-control and other things. When I do the commit I get this error: Failed commands: config terminal then the interface number... I have verified that I am in config sync on the one I am sending the commit form.

I have seen that article. It only happens on some config changes.. if I change the description on a port in config sync and commit it works fine.

its only the storm control ones that are having this issue.

it gives a syntax error while parsing the command as well, but it is very vague. I have never seen this issue before and I hav ebeen working with these for about 10 years.
