Hello,

we are getting the following error:

2016 Oct 10 17:15:07 CEST: %FWM-2-STM_LEARNING_RE_ENABLE: Re enabling dynamic learning on all interfaces

2016 Oct 10 17:07:07 CEST: %FWM-2-STM_LIMIT_REACHED: Unicast station table dynamic capacity reached (limit 25001) - creating mac 0050.5623.3dd5 on port Po1086 and vlan 10 disabling dynamic learn notifications for 180 seconds or till capacity reaches 1500 entries

the capacity for nexus 5548 should be 25000 mac address entries. Which limit is reached?

dpsw#sh mac address-table count

MAC Entries for all vlans:

Dynamic Address Count: 1162

Static Address (User-defined) Count: 0

Multicast MAC Address Count: 1

Total MAC Addresses in Use: 1163

Total PVLAN Clone MAC Address Count: 21380

What is PVLAN? How is it counted? I cannot see 21380 mac addresses in the show mac-address-table.

Thanks beforehand.

Hi

would have thought the PVLAN would be 0 unless your using private vlans are you ?

all my 5k counts are 0 for PVLANS

# sh mac address-table count
MAC Entries for all vlans:
Dynamic Address Count: 593
Static Address (User-defined) Count: 0
Multicast MAC Address Count: 3
Total MAC Addresses in Use: 596

Total PVLAN Clone MAC Address Count: 0

Actually we are using private vlans. But where can I see these 21k mac addresses?

do they not show up in the standard mac table?

I don't think there is a separate table for macs just because there in a PVLAN , its the same cam table

No( It shows only 1163 MAC entiries.

ok I cant see an individual syntax for checking that in the docs in nx-os , I don't have PVLAN enabled in Nexus so I cant check my own ones to see what it might be as the commands only work when its enabled  , all I can suggest is try all variations of the show pvlan commands it has to be in there somewhere if not in the main table

maybe someone else can join in here that has PVLAN enabled on there 5ks to answer this last bit
