Nexus 5672UP Fan Speed at 100% after upgrade

I recently upgraded 2 5672UPs from 7.0(2)N1(1) to 7.0(5)N1(1) and the fan speed stays 100% usage all the time. In version 7.0(2)N1(1), the fans would reduce speed in about 7.5 minutes after a reload. Does anybody have any ideas why the fans will not reduce speed in version 7.0(5)N1(1)?

Thanks,

Scott

Resolution from TAC and listed in the 7.1(0)N1(1a) Release Notes:

This is a known issue very specific to 7.0(4)N1(1) and 7.0(5)N1(1). Following is the bug description:

CSCur12427 5672UP unable to read sensors temperature:

Symptom:

In a Nexus 5672 series switch running NX-OS 7.0(4)N1(1) and 7.0(5)N1(1), fans run at full speed all the time and output of show environment temperature giving an empty output at all time:

Conditions:

Seen in 5672UP running NX-OS 7.0(4)N1(1) and 7.0(5)N1(1). This issue does NOT affect Nexus 55xx,56128 or Nexus 600x platforms.

Workaround:

None. NX-OS 7.1(0)N1(1) and 7.0(5)N1(1a) will have the fix.

Thanks for posting update. Will try updating to the current recommended version which is 7.0(6)N1(1)
