nexus 5k console login timeout

is there any way to edit how the Nexus 5000 waits for a login on the console port? ie: removing the timeout waiting for a login?

I'm sending logs to a remote syslog server, from the console server. these nexus 5k's constantly spam the syslog with "login timed out" and "Nexus 5000 Switch" - "login:"

the spam is quite annoying, but I would love to have the ability to send the console output to a remote sever in cause of issues that cause kernel panic etc and logs are lost otherwise.

Hi Igordnier,

I dont think its possible. Its default behavior of console output on these nexus models. Also ensure you are not sending any data from console server towards Nexus console port.

Also there is question if kernel panic or other error or log output will be helpful somehow for you. Most of messges should be catched by syslog daemon running in NX-OS itself. And also if switch crashes for some reason it usually create some core dumps and stores to the flash.

Best regards,

Jan
