Nexus 7000 support for vPCs to 2000s

We are on NxOS v 6.1.1 on a 7009 with a v1 controller.  I see that 6.2.2 is available.  Does this version support vPCs to N2248TPs as active/standby and/or active/active?

Does it support pre-provisioning?

We do not need to support vPCs to servers since we use load balancers and clusters.

Currently we have half of our 2Ks active on each 7K, but the FEX uplinks from all 2Ks go to both 7Ks.  A failure of a 7K would mean a manual switchover through software by provisioning and configuring the 2Ks on the remaining 7K.

Is there a better way to get redundancy?  We have good hardware redundancy since we have dual power, controllers and 48 port modules on each 7K.  I am on the fence about adding the complexity to our cores to support vPC since it involves re-defining the link between the 7Ks and there seems to be a lot of caveats and limitations to vPCs.

The 7k does not support dual attached FEXes.

The limitation still exist in the latest version of the code.
