Currently Nexus 7010 already has 1 supervisor module version 6.2(16). Looking for information regarding installing a second redundant module.
Question: Does it automatically sync software/license/config etc. from active sup to new sup or one have to do it manually?
Gone through a few docs on Cisco but can't find this information. Thank you.

Hi
so licensing is on the chassis its not on the sup in a 7k
software does not copy over but you can manually move it from current sup to new 2nd sup they must match
configs and states will all sync automatically

Thanks Mark. To restart the supervisor, is reload module slot the correct command to use out of the 3 below?

For power cycling any module use the reload command.
You can use the out-of-service to shutdown the supervisor:
