Nexus 7K - Spanslogic TCAM constraints

Has anyone seen this error:

ERROR: Module 1, 2 returned status: Insertion of TCAM entry failed due to Spanslogic TCAM constraints

We are getting this error when trying to modify an ACL for WAAS/WCCP redirection.  TAC had asked us to disable the atomic updates, but that has not worked.

Thank you in advance

what are those modules? show module output? and what exactly you are trying to change? obviously disabling atomic update is the first thing to try out but you have many other options too like,

- resource pooling (not service impacting since the existing entries are not moved)

    hardware access-list resource pooling mod

- disable statistics per entry in all the ACLs

        statistics per-entry

- fragments deny-all(or permit-all) in all the ACLs

    fragments deny-all/permit-all

Thanks,

Richard

As far as the change, I am trying to remove a few entries that are not in use any more, and add a few new sites, when I get that error.  The error is shown in both adding and removing entries.

Here is the output:

# show mod

Mod  Ports  Module-Type                         Model              Status

---  -----  ----------------------------------- ------------------ ----------

1    32     10 Gbps Ethernet XL Module          N7K-M132XP-12L     ok

2    32     10 Gbps Ethernet XL Module          N7K-M132XP-12L     ok

3    32     1/10 Gbps Ethernet Module           N7K-F132XP-15      ok

5    0      Supervisor module-1X                N7K-SUP1           active *

6    0      Supervisor module-1X                N7K-SUP1           ha-standby

10   48     10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet XL Module N7K-M148GT-11L     ok

I am running software version 6.0(4)

I am concerned about resource pooling as I would lose ISSU, I guess not a huge deal, but I will be upgrading to version 6.2 in the next few months.

I don't have statistics per entry

I will need to look into the "framents deny-all or permit-all)

Thank you for your reply

Just an update:

We applied the "fragement permit-all" to the ACL and we are still getting the same error message.

"ERROR: Module 1, 2 returned status: Insertion of TCAM entry failed due to Spanslogic TCAM constraints"

Is it a M1 module you are applying on? what version?
