Nexus 95k Platform

Hi,

I have a question about the compatibility of different line card on Nexus 9500 platform.

So, to resume we have a Nexus 9508 with 3 FM-E Fabric Module.

We would like to add a "cheap" Ten Gig card : N9K-X9464PX in the hardware. Cisco sheets says that this card is only for fabric Module FM. 

Do you know if Fabric Module FM-E can support old card like N9K-X9464PX

Hi Olivier,

Unfortunately, the first-generation N9K-X9464PX line card only supports first-generation fabric modules (e.g. N9K-C9508-FM). Similarly, the second-generation fabric modules (e.g. N9K-C9508-FM-E) only support second-generation line cards equipped with Cisco Cloud-Scale ASICs. One cannot mix-and-match first-generation line cards/fabric modules with second-generation line cards/fabric modules within the same chassis.
