Nexus N9K-C93180YC-FX breakout in NX-OS

Hi,

Does  N9K-C93180YC-FX,N9K-C93108TC-FX, and N9K-C9348GC-FXP supports breakout 4x10G  on QSFP ports?

If not then what are the possible ways to 10G link working on those QSFP ports?

 

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Yes, you can use breakout cables to convert a 40Gig to 4 10Gig.

As per the compatability matrix, below are possible options to connect QSFP to 10G

1. QSFP-40G-CSR4 with MPO connector cable can be used to breakout 40G QSFP port into 4x10G link
2. CVR-QSFP-SFP10G adapter with SFP-10G-SR

That is correct. 

CVR-QSFP-SFP10G adapter with SFP-10G-SR converts the 40Gig to 10Gig. One to one.

 but QSFP-40G-CSR4 with MPO connector gives you 4 10Gig in one side and a 40Gig on the other side.
