Hi,

We need to run port channel between nexus 5K and cisco ASA.

Do we need to use FEX or normal SFP(10-SR) or GLC-T would be sufficient.

and is there any difference in configuration for port channel as this is nexus.

Thanks!

Do we need to use FEX or normal SFP(10-SR) or GLC-T would be sufficient.

It is actually called FET (Fabric Extender Transceiver).

You can only use FET between the fabric extenders e.g 2248, 2232, etc.. and the 5k or 7k.

As indicated by Inayath, if your distance is short you can use GLC-T, if not then SFP for Gig or SFP+ for 10Gig.

You can use GLC-T or SFP to form port-channel between 5K and ASA.
