Hello
I'm testing a newly received 3750E switch with just a fresh configuration...meaning..all ports are Vlan1..no trunking...nothing....
Gi1/0/1 is connected to my home network 10/16 with gateway 10.0.0.1..
Gi1/0/8 has a PC connected with 10.0.100.20/16
Te1/0/2 has a FreeBSD box connected with 10.0.1.2/16
Vlan1 has 10.0.20.200/16
From the switch I can ping 10.0.0.1, 10.0.1.2 and 10.0.100.20...so all is good...
I can ping from Gi1/0/8 (10.0.100.20) Vlan1 IP, the gateway 10.0.0.1...but not 10.0.1.2 on Te1/0/2
I can ping from 10.0.1.2 on Te1/0/2 the Vlan1 IP 10.0.20.200....but nothing else...
So what is wrong with this switch???
Image installed is: c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.150-2.SE.bin

Tested now quickly the same configuration on a WS-C3560E-24TD-S...
Works as it should...so definitively both WS-C3750E-24TD-E are broken and showing same faults...
I doubt Cisco will do any support and replace both boxes when not bought from an official reseller....
Anyone want some heavy scrap metal? (o;

I would still call it in or I would ask the seller to take them back as there faulty

Well I don't give up..as they are otherwise nice switches..and the C3560E can't be stacked to have more than 2 TE interfaces...
What was the original IOS image they shipped with the V01 model?

Connected now both switches with a CAB-STACK-50CM cable...but they don't even see each other...so something more is broken on them:

Hello
As these hosts are in the same vlan not routing is being performed so make sure your switch doesn't have up routing enabled.
What does the arp table show for the host not reachable?
As suggested make sure these hosts all have the same subnetwork configured.

All hosts are in 10/16 subnet...and "sh arp" shows:
switch1#sh arp
Protocol Address Age (min) Hardware Addr Type Interface
Internet 10.0.0.1 0 000d.b940.83e8 ARPA Vlan10
Internet 10.0.0.201 - 0021.d7fb.cb42 ARPA Vlan10
Internet 10.0.100.17 48 1000.0036.305d ARPA Vlan10
Internet 10.0.100.158 124 0019.995b.de26 ARPA Vlan10
Internet 10.0.100.161 39 c42c.031b.d44f ARPA Vlan10
10.0.100.17 is on Gi1/01/...and other hosts are connected via I1/0/28 being a trunk for Vlan 10...

It just won't switch...only route (o;
