Upgraded the IOS on a 9300 switch and I can't boot, because I deleted the old bin file thinking I was good to go as I've done with other switches. I have not network connect
bootable url's in boot variable not found or exhausted
please check the rommon configuration or boot command usage.

Okay, thought I deleted the wrong boot files when I upgraded the IOS. Turns out, the boot process wasn't point to the correct location. I used the following command to get the switch to boot from the correct boot file.
switch: dir flash:
switch: boot bootflash:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.04.SPA.conf
I was sweating water bottles because I just had pulled this switch out of the box.

Hi there it depends on where you are booting from. Below, I booted mine from a usb drive and it worked.
switch: boot usbflash:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.04.SPA.conf (firmware)
