Hello,
i have made a vrf on a router, in the vrf i have the layer 3 interface to the pe and a vlan interface for connecting a interface not routed to a switch.
The switch is configurerd with vlan interface 1 , 1 layer 2 interface in vlan 1 is connected to de ce.
I have put te routes on ce in the vrf but i' am not able to ping from the vrf to the vlan interface of te switch, why is this.
If y use a layer3 interface on the switch directly connected to the layer2 to interface of the ce i can ping from te vrf to the layer 3 interface of th switch
could any one tell me why this is.
Thank you verry much.
Glenn
Marwanshawi thx for your reaction, i included te config. I left some routes en config of other interfaces away because this is off the company.
I can ping from th vrf. ping vrf DMZ 172.18.1.254, i get a good replay, this is when the ip address 172.18.1.254 is configured on a routed interface of mine multy layer switch. I cannot ping form the vrf on the ce router to 172.18.1.254 when y delete the routed interface on the multy layer sw en make a interface vlan 1 with ip 172.18.1.254 with a layer 2 interface in vlan 1 that y connect to the interface on the router.
do you have some suggestions,
Thanks
Regards Glenn
