NTP Invalid insane

Hi,

I have a setup of one Catalyst 6807 that is NTP peers with several Nexus switches and I have a strange behavior

When I'm doing a NTP associations detail, I have this output

Switch1 #sh ntp associations detail   | inc valid
127.127.1.1 configured, ipv4, insane, invalid, stratum 1
IP_Peer_Nexus1 configured, ipv4, insane, invalid, stratum 2
206.108.0.131 configured, ipv4, sane, valid, stratum 1
IP_Peer_Nexus2 configured, ipv4, insane, invalid, stratum 2
206.108.0.132 configured, ipv4, sane, valid, stratum 1
206.108.0.133 configured, ipv4, sane, valid, stratum 1
IP_Peer_Nexus3 configured, ipv4, insane, invalid, stratum 2
209.51.161.238 configured, ipv4, our_master, sane, valid, stratum 1
IP_Peer_Nexus4 configured, ipv4, insane, invalid, stratum 2

As you can see, all my external NTP server are OK but all my peers (and even 127.127.1.1) are "insane/invalid"

FYI, all my switches that are NTP peers are stratum 2 and they are connected to external stratum 1 servers.

Do you have an idea what it could be ?

My config on the Catalyst :

ntp source VlanX
ntp update-calendar

clock timezone est -5 0
clock summer-time edt recurring

! External NTP servers
ntp server 206.108.0.131
ntp server 206.108.0.132
ntp server 206.108.0.133
ntp server 209.51.161.238

! My other Nexus switches
ntp master 2
ntp peer IP_Peer_Nexus1
ntp peer IP_Peer_Nexus2
ntp peer IP_Peer_Nexus3
ntp peer IP_Peer_Nexus4

Thanks

Check out:

It looks like their is a protocol bug on one of the devices - which one, don't know.  Try going to "gold star" software releases.
