NTP Version?

Anyone have any advice on NTP version to use as I know you can specify?

If you have security in mind, should you specify version 4? What is the default on Nexus or Catalyst switches?

Depends on your requirement in the network and business.

New Version (v4) always have new features.

latest v4 look at below document  security point of view.

The default is 4. On Catalyst switches, if you issue "sh ntp info" it will show you the version. Not sure about the command for Nexus.

HTH

Think it is best to leave as default if I am going to configure with authentication and all that jazz?
