NX OS OSPF "rfc1583compatibility" command impact

Hi, we have 2 Nexus 7710 with  6.2(16) with OSPF enabled in our L3 "Core Datacenter" Context.

We have identified a routing problem with a NSSA area and we must issue the "rfc1583compatibility" command in order to solve it.

Does the  OSPF adjacencies will flap ?

Any other impact on doing that ?

Thanks

Mattia

Hi,

Looking at the documentation, the command does not seem to cause neighbor adjacency flaps but there will be some route calculation to install the correct path and prevent loop. That said, you may want to deploy this command during none business hours just in case something goes wrong.

Here is the doc with example:

Thanks!
