Hi,
I have two layer 3 switches C3560 and C3750 Cisco switches with ios version "ipservices-mz.122-35.SE5".
Now with the current ios version, these layer 3 switches are not supporting object group.
so my question is , do i need to upgrade the ios, for this feature, if yes, which version ?
Looking farword for quick reply........

Can object groups be created on switches? I didn't think so...on a PIX or ASA maybe, but never seen it on switches.

Hi Ashraf,
I agree with the previous post. Object group feature is not supported on 3560 and 3750 switches.

Well, that answers one of my questions. And verifies that I'll use a great big long ACL to match my voice traffic for QoS.
However, if my particular case, if the class-maps will allow me to 'match ip protocol rtp' I won't need an ACL. Does anyone know if the 3560 will support matching protocols in class maps?
Thanks,

Well this command was introduced into IOS in 12.4(20)T.
So if your switches run an IOS > 12.4(20)T you can actually use this command in switches. But I don't think the switch IOS are that new. It's more liekly on routers or high-end switches.

Obj groups are officially supported on 12.15 router ios. It is not supported on switch platforms. It should tell you on the cisco feature tool.
it'd be nice if it was suppoted on all platforms...maybe on the nexus though...
