On this Switch, Cisco automatically installs IP Services from the factory and you do not need to install anything else.

Usually, the IOS comes with the hardware and it has a S/N.  Then based on the S/N you purchase a Smartnet contract to upgrade the IOS.

so, if your customer has the device already, then they just need to get the Smartnet contract.

Hi Debra,

Right-o.  The 3560X utilizes the "universal" IOS.  Which means you download the universal IOS and apply the licence key to upgrade the feature set from IP Base to gosh-knows-what.
