OSPF duplicate area

Hi,

I have to join two lan. There's some duplicated ospf area number. Is there a problem in having two area with the same number ?

Did some test in my lab and everything looks ok in the routing table.

The time that it creates a problem when two different (not connected) areas have the same area number is when they are the area 0 backbone. Other than the backbone area 0 it does not create problems if 2 OSPF areas have the same area number. What matters is which prefixes are being advertised and what is the Area Border Router that is advertising them.
