Hello,
On this scenario
R1----area 0 ---- R2 ----area 23 ----- R3
Is there a way to check from which area the type 3 LSA (summary) was originated.
Example,
On R3 Summary Net Link State, I want to know if that subnet was originated from area 0

Hello
sh ip ospf database summary
this will show every lsa3 that the ABR has generated between those two areas
link state = network
advertising router Id = abr

Paul,
Thanks for your reply.
What i meant was a command that shows from which area that subnet belongs.
When R2 advertise to R3 he know that network is from area 0, is there a way from R3 know that LSA type 3 is from area 0 too.

Hi,
on R3 you can try:
sh ip os database summary area 0
This will show you all the summary from that area.

Hello ,
show ip ospf database: Displays LSA types per area, advertising router, Link ID (subnet) and age.
so you can issue the command on R3 to see the subnet with LSA type and advertising routes.
Hope it Helps..
