packet tracer crashes when I accidentally add two same ip addresses

Hi,

I've been trying to setup a network in packet tracer  but when I accidentally assign to a device ip address that is already in use and close that tab without hitting enter packet tracer collapses and closes almost immediately without a message that something went wrong. Can you guys help me, how to avoid it, it happened to me two times in a row and I have start from a scratch once again.

that's new one for me (Windows user); I heard some Ubuntu and MAC users have some issues with PT but not like this one; if u using those OS's try updating OS; if not u can attach your PT file in zip format here;
