i am looking for the way a sg300/350 timestamps packets such as ptpv1/v2.
i know that with ptp aware switches, correctionfield is added by layer 2 with a hardware timestamping, but what is about non ptp aware switches ?
is it a hardware timestamping or software timestamping ? How it works ? Do you have pictures or movie about it ?
