Permission denied to delete vlan.dat in cisco 4500x switch:

I am getting this result after entering the command to delete the vlan.dat file. What could be the reason and how do i go about deleting the file.

MBMLSW1#delete cat4000_flash:vlan.dat
Delete filename [vlan.dat]?
Delete cat4000_flash:vlan.dat? [confirm]
%Error deleting cat4000_flash:vlan.dat (Permission denied)

Hi,

you don't need to care about it.

just do "vtp mode off" and forget about vlan.dat

and of course you will need to add all vlans separately for each switch. as we always do in dev/production
