Hi Team ,

Do we have separate modules  for POE or POE+ or UPOE in the switches.

Or These modules will come in built in the devices. like POE enabled devices or POE+ enabled devices , UPOE enabled devices.

Or we can  like one device  will are capable of three where we need to insert the modules depending on the requirement.

Regards,

A

uPoE is a separate line card/appliance model.
Depending on the age of the model of switch, PoE+ switch is the norm/standard nowadays.

Depends on the device. "Appliance" switches, generally all their copper ports would support the same PoE capability.

For chassis devices, all the copper ports on a line card would also generally support the same PoE capability, but different line cards may have different PoE support.

Also generally, the later (appliance/module/linecard) PoE ports support more power and will support earlier max power draws, per port.

Lastly, although any one PoE port may support a max power drawer, the device might be limited to how much power it can draw from all its PoE ports, concurrently.

BTW, the device's/linecard's datasheets should note all power capabilities and limitations.
