Port not detecting GBIC

I've 4006 Cat switch.I've L3 module and I am connecting interface on port 3/2 but not detected.

Other ports are working.

Media type is SX.How should I check the status and troubleshoot ,where's the issue?

Hello,

Had this issue before and it was due to the GBIC not been from a certified manufacturer for cisco product. The GBIC is functional but the the IOS won't accept it. What I recommend is using another GBIC from another vendor. One thing which would tell you why this is happening connect your laptop to the console, remove the GBIC wait for 10 seconds then insert the GBIC you will get a an error message why the GBIC has been refused.

Also you check the logs of your switch to find out whats exactly going wrong out there...

The errors are very much informative which tells whether you have some bad or third party GBIC or some other issues caused by error disable functionality..
