Hello,
I am studing for SNRS and for configuring MAC Spoofing I found these commands:
port security max_mac_count [1..132]
port security action [shutdown/trap]
But, before that I learnen about Cam Table Overflow mittigation with these commands:
switchport port-security maximmum [nr]
switchport port-security violation [protect/restrict/shutdown]
and others...
Is there a difference between these two comands ?
Thank U!

Hello Spinu,
I may be wrong but the different syntaxes are probably related to different IOS images and I think the first commands were the first manner to configure port security later the commands have been integrated with the
switchport .... format
if so there is no functional differences between the two sets of commands
Hope to help
