hi! In our network, we've 2x L3 4506 switches running HSRP and with a couple of edge switches connected to these 2 core switches.
I'm trying to turn on Port spanning for a few VLANs and trunk/access ports in one of the L3 4506 to be monitored in a destination port.
Here's my planned configuration.
C1(config)# no monitor session 1
C1(config)# monitor session 1 source interface gigabitethernet2/1
monitor session 1 source interface gigabitetherne2/2
monitor session 1 source vlan 10 , 20 , 30
monitor session 1 destination interface gigabitethernet5/20
Is this configuration ok? Anything that i need to take note when doing this configuration? Will this configuration have any impact on existing network/connectivity? Thanks

Hey,
Your configuration looks fine and should not give you any troubles as far as network connectivity is concerned however I have only one concern; you are spanning port Gig2/2 and vlan 10,20,30 inbound and outbound traffic to Gig5/20, which may be overwhelming for this interface and you may see some output drops on this interface.
HTH.
Regards,
RS.

for my case, the vlan and interface source have to be in different session.
