POST: Boot Loader Block NOT LOCKED: STATUS FAILED

Anyone seen this before and knows what it means?

During booting a Cisco Catalyst 3550, after flash initializing is done (...done Initializing flashfs) the message/error "POST: Boot Loader Block NOT LOCKED: STATUS FAILED is displayed.

Can you give me " Sh ver " command output. If switch atleast reboot.

This problem could be NVRAM problem.

If switch cannot be boot, go into rommon mode and give me following commands output.

dir

flash

Mean memory related commands.

Thanks for your reply. I have to mention, that I received this switch from cisco some days ago as replacement for one that failed a week ago. The switch still has the default config as shipped by cisco.

Nevertheless, I rebootetd the switch (did that several times already) and performed the sh ver command. Please see the attached .txt file.

Does this mean anything to you???
