Hi,
We are looking at pushing a wireless solution out to our firm, currently the floor switches (3560-48s) have a Cisco 79xx series IP phone and PC hanging off each interface.
Are there any concerns we need to be aware about adding an addional 2 AP (3500i) trunks to fully loaded switches in regards to power overloading?
Thanks in advance!
Brendan

Depends. Post the "sh power inline" result and this will tell you how much PoE allowance you have left. The 3500 use only 15.4 watts of power. If you don't have enough PoE then you can purchase the optional PWR-INJ4.
By the way, are you going to get the WLC for the 3500?

Thanks Leolaohoo,
Looks like we have plenty of spare wattage!
Yes we are getting a WLC and MSE and going to try out NCS at the same time
Q. How many devices can the Cisco Catalyst 3560 Series power?

Using Cisco Catalyst Intelligent Power Management, the 48-port version can deliver the necessary power to support 24 ports at 15.4W, 48 ports at 7.7W, or any combination in between. The Cisco Catalyst 3560 Compact Switch can support 8 simultaneous full-powered PoE ports at 15.4W.
