Power issue on 3560

Hi

I am facing an issue regarding power issoe on PoE ports. I am getting this log %ILPOWER-5-ILPOWER_POWER_DENY:

After checking cisco web site regarding same, I observe below output.

1. %ILPOWER-5-ILPOWER_POWER_DENY: Interface [chars]:inline power denied

This message means that the PoE request was denied because the switch does not have enough power left to support the request. [chars] is the interface number.

Recommended Action: No action is required.

Related documents- No specific documents apply to this error message.

So Please suggest me what to do now.. As earlier everything is working fine but after replacing the faulty switch with another switch, I observed this issue.

Should I raise the RMA for this switch or any way to troubleshoot this issue?

Please Help.

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Vinod.

are you seeing this issue on all the ports of the switch or on some ports...?

what are the results of your show power inline command?  3560's show available/used/remaining stats.

What do the POST startup tests show when you power cycle the switch?

Hi

ranraju @ :-- I am facing this issue only on few ports of the switch

Darren Willie @
When using show Power inline  CLI.. MAx is 370 W consume 358 W Free 12 W.

Also when using show power inline status

many of the ports showing Cisco PD and consuming Max power (15.6 W)

stevenjwilliams83@----- I haven't test this till yet.
