Hello everybody,
To begin my first language is french so I have to improve my english ;-)
I have to connect 2 networks with different addresses, 1 in 45.XX.XX.XX and the second in 172.XX.XX.XX.
1° Do I have to put the router in "gateway" mode or "router" mode
2° I put the address of the router in 172.XX.XX.XX address and a subnet in 45.XX XX XX, but it doesn't works.
How do I have to connect my PCs, directly on the ports 1 to 8, or 1 on the Internet port?
Is there a tutorial or anything else to do it?
Many thanks for your answers.

Hey
I don't have any experience with the RV082 specifically but it sounds like you just want to set it up as an internet route with the WAN (internet) on one side and the LAN on the other?
The Admin Guide looks fairly helpful:
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/routers/csbr/rv0xx/administration/guide/rv0xx_AG_78-19576.pdf
Are you putting the 45.x.x.x address on the WAN port and 172.x.x.x on the LAN side?
Thanks

thank you for your so quickly answer.
So I have already read this administration guide, but it didn't bring me answers.
I put the address 45 on the WAN port and 172 on the LAN setting.
it seems that it is only possible to go to an internet gateway.
I can't connect two static IP adress.
Do you think I have to put the router in router mode or gateway mode?
