Problem with Cisco Catalyst 2950 Switch stackable

Hi

i have 3 Cisco Catalyst 2950 stackable and i want to stack these switches and set one ip address on these 3 switche .

can i do set up 1 ip address on 3 switches or must each switche have one ip address ?

Hi,

C2950's are not stackable, the only stackable switches are C3750's. But I think you mean Clustering, this guide will help you to accomplish your required setup.

I suggest you install Cisco Network Assistant, this will help you to set things up using a GUI interface.

Hi,

Cisco has a very distinct terminology for interconnected switches:

1. Cisco StackWise: Available only with 3750 and 3750E series Switches. In which one may connect upto 9 Switches in row, and all of them become virtually 1 single switch.
