First things to come to mind are some IOS bug or IOS image not meeting RAM requirements (a "show version" output might help here), but there could be other causes as well:

Well, there's no IOS - RAM size mismatch, and I'm not aware about any RAM-related bugs for that specific version. However, that IOS is pretty old (I don't even see it on Cisco's download page) - I'd update to the latest 12.4T (12.4(24)T8), or even to 15.1(4)M7 if there's no particular reason to stick to 12 (but be sure to keep the ADVSECURITY feature set, as ADVIPSERVICES or ADVENTERPRISE require twice the amount of RAM your router has).

I jsut downloded c2800nm-advsecurityk9-mz.151-4.M7
will apply it today after working hours and will see if this happened again for the next month.
Thanks for the help.
