Hi

I've a Cisco 9300-48UN and there is a problem with the stackwise Hardware:

Follow the show switch detail :

Stack Port Status Neighbors
Switch# Port 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2
--------------------------------------------------------
1            OK    DOWN    2      None
2            OK     OK         1        1

Switch# Port1 Port2
----------------------------
1           OK     DOWN
2           OK     OK

It seems a stack module problem on port 2 of the switch 1.

The strange things is that port 1 of switch 2 is not down.

Please, what do you think about ?

P.S. I've posted the same images in two different format because I'm not sure that copy and past of the commands

have a readable format.

Thanks

Fabrizio M.

Hi guys

Thanks for your suggestions

The ios is :

Now the devices are inline I must agee with a customer a window's maintenance to turn off the devices.

This is what i see when I insert the show switch stack-port detail :

I remember that at the first time power on, the stacks works properly, the, suddenly I lost the serial connection for any seconds, then the machine works properly again.
I think that, in that moment, something goes wrong on the stacks.
I tell this just for complete and spread my experience

Have a nice days

Visually inspect the stacking cables -- The screws to the stacking cables are not there for "decoration".  They engineered to be there because it has been proven, time and time again, to hold the stack cables firmly.  If the screws are not secured finger-tight the stacking cable will get "dislocated".
