Hi,
We have an C3560CG-8PC-S Switch with ios version 12.2(55)EX3.
I've tried to investigate a connection problem using the tdr tool.
It shows the following result from which I can't drag any useful information:
Interface Speed Local pair Pair length Remote pair Pair status --------- ----- ---------- ------------------ ----------- -------------------- Gi0/3 100M Pair A N/A N/A Not Completed Pair B N/A N/A Not Completed Pair C N/A N/A Not Completed Pair D N/A N/A Not Completed
Port Speed is 100M, PoE is on an used with app. 7.0W
Can anyone help me out with this?
Thx in advance!

On a 3560-series family of switches, sometimes a TDR takes a whopping 61 seconds before you issue the "sh cable tdr interface" command.

I've tried waiting some time before issuing the "sh cable-diag tdr interface ..." command.
But even after an hour nothing changend :-(

Markus,
TDR and 3560 ... they don't mix well. Sometimes the feature works, sometimes it won't.
Normally when I see this, I just change the cables at both ends.

Thx Leo,

Changing the cables was task anyway due to connection problems.

Oh, and upgrade your IOS. The EX "series" of IOS is not designed for long-term production. I like to call the EX-series of IOS as an interim-only IOS. The objective is to get your switch "stable" (or close to) so you get it working until the main-line IOS is available.
I'd recommend you look at upgrading to 15.0(2)SE4.
