Problem with upgrading IOS on C2960X switches from IOS 15.0(2)EX5 to 15.2(2)E6

Hi Cisco support Community,

We have upgraded some of our C2960X switches from IOS 15.0(2)EX5 to 15.2(2)E6 and a number of them did not come back up operational and had the following error:

%ILET-1-AUTHENTICATION_FAIL: This Switch may not have been manufactured by Cisco or with Cisco's authorization.  This product may contain software that was copied in violation of Cisco's license terms.  If your use of this product is the cause of a support issue, Cisco may deny operation of the product, support under your warranty or under a Cisco technical support program such as Smartnet.  Please contact Cisco's Technical Assistance Center for more information.

To get these switches going again and as a last resort before replacing the switches we hard rebooted one of them and it started to work fine.

I'm wondering if anyone here had this same issue and have any permanent fix for it as the issue may come back.

yes its a software issue its been seen before few times no need to replace them , permanent fix is upgrade to an ios its not seen in
