Hi,

I have a strange issue on a 801 ISDN router, I wanted to upgrade my IOS and deleted the file from flash, afterwards I did a squeeze . When I did a dir flash: it showed only the tinyrom file. When I did a show flash: I still saw my deleted file .This is the first strange issue .

I rebooted the router and could still boot from the deleted file ...

I booted in rommon mode and deleted the file over there and I followed the procedure for upgrading an IOS on a 800 router. It start to download the IOS image but after a couple of seconds it stops with a buffer overflow. I tried with shorter name but this didn't help.

Can somebody give me a hint what the problem is ?

When I start downloading I see a file name which can't be removed . (c800-sy6-mw) . What is this ?

Hi ,

*** If the memory of router is not sufficient to load the ios you will get the above message.

Error 7 leans to running out of memory ...
