I am trying to evaluate whether to use PTP in unicast mode or in mixed unicast/multicast mode. the advantage of using the multicast mode is to reduce the load on the master for sync and announce messages.
does anyone has experience using the mixed mode? I am afraid that since Unicast and Multicast may have different paths in the network, the PTP will not work well...
