hi , i would like to ask about sh ip arp in cisco switch ,
if i type show ip arp in cisco switch , it only display the arp in vlan 1 , although i have alot of vlans conected to pcs and servers , but only it dispaly the arp of vlan 1 ,
on my switch i have an ip under interface vlan 1
how to display the app of all vlans ??

Hi,
arp request is sent on directly connected neighbours in the same vlan, for other vlan hosts you'll have only arp entry for default-gateway.

do u think putting an ip address on sw from each vlan will solve the issue ??

Hi,
in that case then if the devices are directly connected and on corresponding vlan then yes you'll see output in the arp cache after communicationg with them.
