question:?=unkown-message on 2960s, need help,THX!

Hi,

I use an new singel (without Stack-Module) Cat 2960-48TS-L with 12.2(53) SE2 IOS and I get this message in the Log:

000051: Jan 17 20:43:23.851: %SEC-6-IPACCESSLOGS: list Management-Access denied 192.168.178.30 1 packet
000052: Jan 17 20:43:29.461: VSTACK_ERR:
smi_socket_recv_read_hdr_cont:!!!Msg_hdr type is not matching with any predefined
Could be an attack, closing connection


what can be the cause for this message?

(maybe a bug in IOS???)

I checked up the realted error messages and there are a lot of bugs listed for this type of behaviour. I could not any exact match related to  " smi_socket_recv_read_hdr_cont:!!!Msg_hdr type is not matching with any predefined". I looked at the fix for these bugs and most of them are fixed in 12.2.55 SE release.


As I dont have have much information, I would suggest you try upgrading the switch to the latest IOS and see if that takes care of the issue.
