Hi
Show run will show you all the configuration on the router and show run formal will show you the specific command strings associated to an protocol on the Router, for example:
I have configured MPLS Traffic Engineer and with show run formal it will display all the related to the parent command (mpls traffic-eng)
mpls traffic-eng <--- parent command
mpls traffic-eng interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0/1
mpls traffic-eng interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0/2
To be honest I always use show run to create any script and then commit it. I dont think there is a way to disable it, just may be using privilege command like we did on IOS, but not sure if it is supported on ASR.
Hope it is useful
:-)
