Re: default route 0.0.0.0/1 and 0.0.0.0/15 in our EIGRP Routing Domain

It is not temporary, so something put them into the routing table and it sounds like they got withdrawn later. Also, while they look like a default route they are not. The default route is 0.0.0.0/0.

Any other prefix means the network starts with 0.x.x.x (depending on prefix length) - but it is not a default route.

hi Philip,

Thanks for correcting this concept. Yes, it isn’t default route and I changed the subject.

I checked these peering routers that these routes were coming from, these routes were not in their routing table and neither in Eigrp topology database. So I suspected these are abnormal behavior for Eigrp routes propagation. And I am wondering if someone else saw this before, and can explain it more about this?

thanks,

Eric
