which switch platform support XFP

Hi all,

I wanted to know is there any Catalyst switch support for XFP tranciever. According to Cisco Technical specifications, Cisco XFP modules are supported on Cisco switches and routers. However, when I checked the document " 10 Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver Module Compatibility Matrix",  I was not able to find out which switch module support XFP...  dis i missed something?

P.S. Can somebody explains what does the Cisco XFP module feature " supports optical interoperabilty with respective Cisco 10GBASE XENPAD and X2, and SFP+ modules on the same linke. " mean.

These are the appliances that can support XFP.

May I ask what you are trying to achieve?
