Hello,
Myself Arijit. I need your help regarding following matter.
If suppose one workstation in a large LAN generates broadcast or creates loop then what is the quickest and the most easiest way to identify and rectify that.
Please suggest.

Wireshark or Ethereal are best tool to capture and identify broadcast traffic in LAN.

Hi there,
the programs ganesh mentioned earlier are not from cisco, they are network monitoring applications, u use them to monitor network traffic pattern and identify traffic types and source / destinations.

Hello Arjit,
In order to do the above implemenation you need to install the wireshark on your system and run on one of the adapter to see the traffic pattern.

Got your point. One more thing i want to ask you that what frame in wireshark is to identify that there is broadcast or loop in the network.
And what will be the sourse and destination of that frame.
