Hi
Your stdby sup was reloaded. May be due to sw/hw.
1) check show diagnostic events - for any diag failure on module 6
2) look out for any crash info generated on the stdby sup before the crash. Check the stdby bootflash, sup-bootdisk or disk0. If you have the crash info, provide that here or you can open a tac case.
3) if you dont have any crash info or no diag failure, monitor the sup for next few weeks, if the same symptom occur again, replace it.

Hello Mahesh,
From below two logs it is difficult to dictate what had happened with slot-6
Mar 6 23:48:47.232 EST: %OIR-SP-3-PWRCYCLE: Card in module 6, is being power-cycled (Slot disabled)
Mar 6 23:52:10.973 EST: %OIR-SP-6-INSCARD: Card inserted in slot 6, interfaces are now online
I advise you to take below output and submit it to cisco Tac
> sh-tech
> output of crashinfo if it is generated (you can run command dir all-filesystem and search for crashinfo file)
> tacacs log during that time to find out trigger of this issue.s
Hope this helps
Regard
Mahesh
oh I see issue is already resolved

Hi Mahesh,
Glad to know that you found the cause :-)
May be just to make sure your 6500 is grounded properly to eliminate any electro statics
