I hope all is well, I had customer's and we need to implement them Fortimail 'mode transparent act as L2 Bridge ', Current network connect is cisco catalyst 4849 switch with two access port connect separated to CAS_A and CAS_B "Client Access Server (CAS) it's SMTP server", The new connection I tried is connect CAS_A to (Swich_A) and CAS_B to (Switch_B), Two switches connect with trunk to combine two CAS's above two switches they're Fortimail one is master and other is slave connect to one Gateway 'Catalyst 4849 Swtich' as access port can't be trunk because Fortimail does not understand dot.1q in inspection of frame, because that the port must be access, but I face issue switch STP its block trunk port between two switch.
My main goal is to block one Access port that connect to Slave Fortimail and bringing UP if other Access Port connect to Master Fortimail is down, To demystify Fortimail between switch its act tunnel or pipe its Bridge.
What can I do achieve my gool?
* I tried to use IP SLA but event manager is not supported on switches.
